This website does not follow you around the web. One single service analyses how this page is used — and it is loaded only once you agree. Below you will find which data arises, and why.

This website does not follow you around the web. Two things come from outside providers — the usage analysis and the booking calendar — and both are loaded only once you allow them. Below you will find which data arises, and why.

Controller

Visiting the website

When you open a page, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the server hosting this website. These are stored in what are known as server log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• name and address of the file retrieved
• browser and operating system used
• the previously visited page, if transmitted

Without this data a website cannot technically be delivered. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation. This data is not combined with any other data.

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. For users in the European Union, GitHub B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands, acts as the provider's responsible entity.

Data may also be transferred to the USA in the process. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The transfer is therefore based on Article 45 GDPR in conjunction with the adequacy decision of the European Commission, and additionally on standard contractual clauses under Article 46 GDPR.

Enquiry form

The form on the home page does not transmit your entries via this website. When you click "Send enquiry", your own email program opens with a prepared message. Your data only reaches us once you send that email yourself — by exactly the same route as if you had written to us by hand. No data is stored or processed on this website in the process.

Enquiries by email

When you write to us, we process the details you provide — usually your name, company, email address, travel dates, number of guests and your message — solely in order to deal with your enquiry.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry is aimed at a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention periods stand in the way. If a booking comes about, the commercial and tax retention periods of six and ten years respectively apply to invoices and receipts.

Consent and cookies

On your first visit we ask you, through a banner at the bottom of the page, whether you allow statistics. Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set beforehand. “Only necessary” is just as quick to click as “I agree” — both buttons are the same size and sit side by side.

Your decision itself — a “yes” or a “no” — is remembered by your browser in its local storage (entry “statistik-einwilligung”), so that the banner does not reappear on every page you open. This entry never leaves your device and contains nothing about you. It is strictly necessary under section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and therefore requires no consent. If you clear the site data in your browser, it is gone.

Statistics: Microsoft Clarity

If you agree, we use Microsoft Clarity, a web analytics service provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.

Clarity sets cookies or comparable technologies and records how this website is used — for example mouse movements, clicks and scrolling behaviour, as well as the heatmaps and session recordings derived from them. This shows us which sections are read and where visitors give up, so that we can make the page clearer.

Data may also be transferred to Microsoft servers in the United States. Microsoft Corporation is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on Article 45 GDPR in conjunction with the adequacy decision of the European Commission, and additionally on standard contractual clauses under Article 46 GDPR.

The legal basis for storing and reading the cookies is your consent under section 25(1) TDDDG, and for the subsequent processing of your data, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent is voluntary; without it you can use the website in full. Further details are in Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Withdrawing consent

You can change your decision at any time: through the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page — or directly here. Withdrawal takes effect for the future; what was transferred beforehand is unaffected.

Booking portals

If you book the apartment through Booking.com or Airbnb, the privacy terms of the respective portal apply to the booking process. We receive from them the data necessary for the accommodation.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as a right to object to processing based on a legitimate interest. An informal email is enough.
